# My Site
> Bolan, Iowa, established in 1886 with the arrival of the Chicago Great Western Railroad, is a small community with a rich history. The town has seen the development of various businesses and community facilities, including a schoolhouse that has been restored and now serves as a cultural center. Bolan gained national attention when sixteen of its residents appeared on "Late Night with David Letterman." The community actively engages in events and fundraisers, such as an annual fall festival and a bike ride, to support local initiatives and preserve its heritage. The Trinity United Methodist Church also plays a significant role in the community, celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2020.
